Whole blood(venipuncture/fingerstick), serum, and plasma are all acceptable; follow collection protocols strictly for optimal results. Fingerstick whole blood should be tested immediately.

What does a faint test line mean?

Any visible colored line in the Test line (IgM/IgG) indicates a positive result, as intensity varies with antigen/antibody concentration.

Can this test distinguish between primary and secondary dengue infection?

Yes. IgM positive indicates probable primary infection; IgG positive or IgM+IgG positive indicates secondary infection.
